[ad_1]
For any women dealing with the tumultuous perimenopause and menopause journey, Melani Sanders (@justbeingmelani) is the definition of a comfort creator. Dedicating her platform and her iconic βWe Do Not Careβ Movement to empowering mature women to live outside the confines of beauty standards and societal pressures, Sanders is a refreshing presence in an ever-toxic social media world. Joining in on the movement, legendary mature skin makeup guru, Bobbi Brown, just shared her βI do not careβ beauty pillars on Instagram, inspiring founders to not be so hard on themselves when it comes to self care.
Bobbi Brown Doesnβt Care About Gray Roots, Sleeping With Makeup On and More
For any women over 40, Bobbi Brown and her iconic mature-skin makeup line, Jones Road, are seen as the holy grail for all things makeup and beauty in your second act. That doesnβt mean, though, that Brown herself is committed to a full beat every day. In fact, Brownβs entrance into the βWe Do Not Careβ movement with her βI do not care, beauty editionβ video gave us an inside look into her refreshingly honest approach to beauty and aging.
βIβm not in perimenopause, Iβm not even in menopause, Iβm past that. And you know what, I still donβt care,β Brown began in her makeup-free Instagram reel. Getting into her biggest IDC beauty takes, Brown explained that she doesnβt care that she doesnβt wear makeup everyday, and sometimes the only product on her face is left over from the night before (weβve all been there!). βI donβt care that sometimes my part needs color so bad that Iβve got eye shadow, stick eye cream, anything to cover it, and itβs still not working, I donβt care!β Brown affirms. She went on to add that she doesnβt care about showing up to dinner with wet hair in a pony, that her personal arsenal of Jones Road products are in no way organized or that sheβs only five feet tall. βI still wear flats and sneakers and stand up next to everybody because guess what? I just donβt care,β she says. Moral of the brand founderβs story: Sometimes itβs better to just not care!
