Keeley Hawes’ Eyebrow Microblading Transformation

British actress Keeley Hawes may be best known for her high-intensity, butt-kicking film and television repertoire, but it’s her new, perfectly subtle eyebrow microblading transformation that has beauty lovers taking note. The Assassin star and semi-permanent makeup expert behind Hawes’ transformation, Karen Petts, dished all the deets on Hawes’ A-list treatment to Good Housekeeping.

Why Keeley Hawes Opted for Eyebrow Microblading

“Keeley’s got the perfect, oval face shape so she could have had anything with her brows, and it would have suited her,” says Petts. Betts explained that the Miss Austen actress was looking for a subtle enhancement that would shape her natural brows and add just a bit of extra volume and definition. “I asked what her expectations were, and she used the word ‘natural,’” Betts explains. “So I analyzed her face shape, and drew the brows on first to show her where I thought they should be to complement her bone structure. She saw it and said: ‘That’s exactly what I want.’”

With already naturally stunning eyebrows, Betts says her work wasn’t too difficult, and focused mostly on lifting Hawes’ brows, extending the ends and providing “a bit more of an arch” to help open the eyes more. “It brings out the cheekbones that bit more,” Betts told the outlet. “She’s got a great bone structure, I just wanted to enhance it.” In terms of color, Betts says  “I didn’t want anything too warm or too flat. So I just used some cool and neutral tones slightly lighter than her own brows, because I wanted the strokes to blend in seamlessly so they looked like her own hair.” Betts adds that, “Where there was some sparseness, I just worked within her own natural brows to add a little more fullness.”
