[ad_1]
Meredith Marks may be known for her calm composure amid the chaos of reality TV, but behind that cool-as-ever demeanor is a woman who knows exactly what works for her. Between filming The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, growing business ventures and taking her new DJ gig on the road, the star is giving us a look inside the glam and glow that keep her camera ready.
What does your everyday beauty routine look like?
βSunblock is super important. The sun is one of the most damaging things to your skin. My favorite is a serum formula from Kiehlβs, followed by my go-to Armani foundation, which Iβve used for years. It just gives you really smooth, great-looking skin.
I rotate through a lot of different stuff. I use Amanda Caroline skin care from Real Housewives of London because Iβve known her for many years. Iβve been using Tata Harper too. Itβs important to keep your skin very moisturized, especially in Utah, where itβs really dry.β
What are your go-to aesthetic treatments?
βIβm definitely a fan of Botox, not crazy heavy Botox, but light Botox. I like to still have a little bit of movement. I donβt like to be frozen. Iβm not a filler person, contrary to what a lot of people think. I tried it many years ago and had everything dissolved, so thereβs zero filler. I love threads. I did a bunch of threads with Dr. Ron in Miami. I also like the vampire facial and use red light therapy or the LYMA Laser ($5,995). Itβs all cumulative; it adds up when you stay consistent.β
Do you feel pressure to undergo cosmetic treatments before a new season starts?
βItβs not that you feel pressure to keep up, you just become hyper aware. When youβre on camera, everything shows up; things you wouldnβt notice in real life suddenly become obvious.β
Who inspires your personal style?
βMy mother is super chic and stylish. Sheβs always well put together. Itβs not about doing crazy or over-the-top stuff, itβs about beautiful fabrics, silhouettes and fabrication. My kids give me a little more pizzazz, but weβre all classic at the end of the day.β
Youβve got so much happening beyond Bravo. Whatβs next for you?
βIβm starting my DJ tour and weβre going to ten different cities. Itβs like throwing a party every night. We just launched pre-orders for a game called Rumors and Nastiness. Itβs sort of like Two Truths and a Lie. Youβre trying to figure out if itβs a rumor or a nasty truth. We have some very chic bath bombs coming out that are great for your skin, moisturizing and fabulous. Weβre also opening a caviar lounge in Park City. The front will be a jewelry store with a speakeasy-style caviar bar in the back.β
What are your best wellness tips for staying youthful?
βI rotate through different workouts. I did Pilates yesterday, but I always make sure to lift weights. As women age, we lose so much muscle, so itβs important to lift even just to keep your weight under controlβ¦I stay away from sugar, fast food and fried foods. I eat in moderation and as clean as I can. It keeps you healthy mentally and physically and your skin looking good.β
What helps you unwind at the end of the day?
βSometimes I need to vent, so Iβll talk to my husband or my kids. A lot of the time, I just want to put on some music. Thatβs a great way to chill. Iβm also a huge backgammon player. Itβs peaceful for me.β
